Internet Marketing – Affiliates need mentors too!

Most sellers in IM concentrate on
marketing other people’s products.

The role is called an ‘affiliate’.

They find the potential buyers and

take them to the sales page of the

product creator.

If a sale is made, commission will be
paid. They find potential buyers
(‘traffic’) by a range of methods and
source products (or services, such as
training) either direct from the
creator, or in the global market places
of JVZoo, Clickbank or Warrior+Plus.

One problem is being accepted when you
start.

You find a product that is
selling well on these sites. It has an
excellent (successful) sales page.

Your job is to persuade your readers to
click the link to the sales page and
let the sales page do the selling.

You might think that every product
owner would welcome any affiliate, but
no.

The attractiveness of a product to
affiliates is its high ‘earnings per
click’, or epc.

This measures the sales revenue divided
by the number of visitors to the sales
page.

If an affiliate’s traffic is not
interested (a low ‘conversion rate’)
the epc will fall and be less
attractive to other affiliates.

So, the product owner will review the
affiliate’s application:

If not, the affiliate must persuade the
owner to give him/her a chance.

I identify products that I have bought
from the owner and all have accepted
that.

Generally, the product creator agrees
that the affiliate can promote a
specific product, rather than all of
his/her product range.

On the three sites above, (JVZoo etc)

a request to be an
affiliate takes 1-3 minutes to
complete; approval, or rejection, is
within 24 hours.

The affiliate can work in one niche, or
may decide to work in more than one
niche.

There are hundreds of others, from golf
to car maintenance to pet care and so
on.

listed the 3 techniques to master to
Make money on line, which  are similar
to all of the other niches:

1. You need an audience, list traffic.

3. You need something to sell.

You need to identify the problems of
your audience that you will be able to
solve by sourcing (or creating) a
product, or service.

You cannot do this in reverse. You
might source a superb product to
improve the health of cats but, if
people on your list are mainly
interested in extreme sports and do not
have cats, no sale will be made.

Less than a month ago, I decided that

had neglected.

I am fortunate to have a
large audience for my free IFRS books,
which they have downloaded.

I decided to invite them all to join me
on my IM journey, knowing that this
would be new to most readers, all of
whom are busy.

I wrote to all explaining what I was
doing and held my breath to see how
many refused.

I was delighted to find
that almost all supported me, though
not everybody reads every email.

So, it depends on the interests of your
audience whether you can cover
different niches.

You need a serious course from a
successful IM expert to build a
business, even as an affiliate.

This is the major investment for a successful
IM business, but the best, as
