First of all, you’re NOT dumb if you’re
making these mistakes.
Because 99% of the time, they’re made
because of commonly-held myths or the
usual abundance of misinformation
online.
But when you finally separate fact from
fiction, one thing is for sure.
It’s OBVIOUS why so much marketing is
scrap-heap worthy.
Because intelligent people are ignoring
common sense.
I’ll show you what I mean.
Let’s check out the 3 most common
marketing mistakes, misfires, and
missteps.
1) Confusing Message!
You already know that the foundation of
your business is built on the back of
your list.
Yet some people may WANT to join you,
but they’re mystified by what you’re
trying to say.
As an example, it drives me nuts when
I’m cruising down the highway and a
billboard catches my eye.
And of course, I can’t help but
evaluate all the marketing I see.
So it drives me crazy to check out the
billboard’s message and…
I CAN’T FIGURE OUT WHAT THEY’RE
SELLING!
Seriously?
You spend a fortune on advertising and
people don’t even know what your offer
is?
Go figure… but it happens more than
you’d think.
I see it the most when I’m coaching
entrepreneurs who are trying to cram in
every persuasion tactic they’ve ever
heard of… and it comes out as a
confusing, muddled mess.
That’s why a clear, clean message… that
ALSO sells… is paramount.
So before you send or post anything,
ask a couple of unbiased folks to check
it out.
And if they look at you with the
infamous deer-in-the-headlights
glaze…
.. You’d better rework your message,
or your list will forever be puny,
unfocused, and horribly expensive to
maintain!
