From Randy Smith,
IM marketing expert (UK):
‘Unfortunately – After investing a few
hours into reviewing some of the latest ‘must have big sellers’
I wasn’t happy enough with them to actually want to recommend them! Most of the ones I looked at in depth,
seemed to sound really cool, but have no real practical
benefit other than sounding cool! Like forcing a link when someone
clicks an image in facebook!
I’d be annoyed that I didn’t just see
the picture I clicked on, and instead it took me off to try and sell me
something completely unrelated
to the cute cat, or funny bear, I wanted to look at!
But hey – I know it will sell loads –
as the attraction will be all those clicks to your site you can get!
And I’m sure they’ll have proof that it
works from some non-im niche getting heaps of clicks…
BUT – Are they targetted?
Did people WANT to see your pitch when they clicked that funny meme?
Or will you just cause them to
NEVER click on anything
you share from thereon in? Then, there was a launch that is
converting at 87% Seriously? With the industry average at
around 1% and
a good page converting at 8-10%
They are showing that 87 out of 100 people are buying… This is buying some done for you
‘automated’ system that promises
to give you pages etc. for YOU to drive
your traffic to (Paid or otherwise) at a monthly subscription.
So how are they getting
87% conversion
when there are heaps of DFY systems
that convert at 1 or 2% on a
subscription model? Frankly – That one May Well be genuine,
I just don’t believe it can convert so high without something amiss going on! (To coin an expression – ‘There’a rabbit away’ with these stats somewhere)’ Where does persuade end and
manipulation begin? I agree with Randy that just
because you can technically
disrupt somebody who is using Facebook,is it sensible
to do so? If I click on something I
have decided to view, arrival elsewhere causes me to abort my search and move on.
