Internet Marketing – False bank phone calls

You have a call and it is your bank.

You check the number of the caller on
your mobile.

It looks genuine but, in fact, the true
number is masked (hidden from you).

After confirming your name,

you are asked if you have spent
$500, $700 or $1,000 (in your local
currency) in a town
600 kilometres from where you live.

You are shocked. (They want you to
panic!)

THIS IS WHERE you

MUST, MUST RING OFF!!

While you are distracted, the caller
asks you for your private banking

information to help (!?) you.


If you provide it, your account will be
emptied immediately.

What should you do? 

YOU MUST FIND ANOTHER PHONE

(not the same one on which

you received the call).

Use your card, or internet,
to find the emergency number.

Give them the number of your first
caller.

You think that the first call has
ended. IT HAS NOT ENDED!

You phone line to the thieves is STILL OPEN! 

You think that you are calling your
bank (you are NOT). 

Your call will be answered by a thief
(usually female) telling you
that you are speaking to the bank.
But you are speaking to a thief.

If you provide information, your
account will be emptied immediately.

Banks NEVER ask you for your PIN:

thieves DO.

That is why you MUST use another phone,
or visit the bank, if it is near you.

My family has received 3 of these calls
in the last month.

They are also operating in your country
(ask your bank!).

It all happens quickly, so tell your
family and friends:
if your bank ever rings, say nothing
and phone your bank
on a number you can trust, but USE
ANOTHER PHONE!  

You have earned your money:

please protect it!
