I received a long letter, in Russian,
from a refugee in Senegal who wants help to claim a large amount
of money belonging to her father. I reply that I may be able to help
but that: I will not send any money,
for any reason, now or in the future. Then, silence.
About a month later, a letter in
English told me that the problem had been solved.
Having provided help (I HAD NOT!),
I would receive a six-figure present!
This is being provided by the
Reverend Exxxx, in the form of a Cashier’s Visa Card. He wrote:
I am convinced that you are the
rightful owner of this ATM Visa card, but what this will cost is the processing charges because DHL or UPS
courier services can not accept any financial related documents, so the Visa card must be processed in accordance with the law of Senegal so to have a warrant covering paper that will give the DHL or UPS courier service power to carry and deliver the ATM Visa card to you. The amount it will cost you totally is
350 euro both the processing and DHL or UPS delivery charges,
and note that I can not deduct
or access the fund as
the fund was made on your name. So do I pay 350 euro, or risk losing
the money? Such offers of money for nothing will
result in: 1. You receiving No money at all.
2. You losing any money you send.
3. Money being taken from any
bank account that you identify.
Keep your money!
Just say NO!
We will look at how to leave the
door open, just in case it is
genuine, without paying
anything.
