Promoting high-ticket items ($100+)
uses webinars frequently. The prospect needs to know, like
and trust you before giving
money over the internet. When you have the offer of a webinar,
Google search ‘review’ plus the product title and/or the presenter. Look at the first 3 pages of results
for any negative reviews,
or the word ‘SCAM’.
Many of the other reviews may not be
objective, so look well. This will save you time and money.
The product may be excellent, but not
suitable for newbies (despite promises). Webinars have many advantages over
other presentations, such as emails and static sales pages. Live or recorded webinar? If, like me,
you do not live in US time zones, you will hear few live webinars, unless you sleep at abnormal times. Warnings that the webinar will not be
repeated are either false, or indicate that it is not worth repeating. I ignore false senses of urgency.
Michael Cheney (see below) provides
a repeat through an ‘encore’ which is a
version without all the introductions and breaks. Live offers you the chance to ask
questions during the webinar, though without a guarantee that it will be
answered.

I will send it. No answer =
no purchase by me.
I can choose the time to watch repeats
and pause them, if I wish. You are being invited into a virtual
conference. You are told that you are joining 99, or 999, other interested people. It is always full! (This may be true, or not. You have no
means of knowing.) You are told that named members of
the audience are from all around the world. This builds the webinar’s importance. To be continued
