Dear {!firstname_fix},
I cannot access my UK training
materials that I have been using for more than a year. My browser says that the site cannot be
found.I tried the same address with /login and /support suffixes
that usually work.
Not this time, sadly.
Is the browser at fault?
I tried Firefox and Internet Explorer.
Same result. I contacted my trainer to see if the
addresses (URL’s) had changed. No, they had not changed.
He asked:
What is my IP address?
Your Public IPv4 is: xxxxx
Your IPv6 is: Not Detected Your Local IP is: xxxxx Location: Moscow, MOW RU ISP (provider) : xxxxx I do not understand why I have 2
addresses, but technical people helping me do. My trainer’s technical support said
that there is nothing blocking my IP address. I was told that it might be my
firewall, or antivirus. If so, why had it suddenly
stopped when I had not touched those? I contact my ISP provider here in
Moscow. Provider cannot access the UK sites,
either. It cannot be MY firewall, or antivirus.
Provider runs a test tracing the
request from Moscow.It runs through 12 steps without a problem
and stops in New Jersey (US)
I have not yet solved this. I will keep
you updated.
Main lesson so far: do not assume
that an internet problem is due to
your computer. Work with your
target URL and
ISP provider to locate the
source of the problem.
