Your IM website must NEVER
be accessed through your
day-job computer.
This can be a disciplinary offence
unless your rules specifically allow it. This also applies to accessing social media, though many companies have rules for this. You want to be a seller and make money
doing so. Prospects will need to know, like and trust you before buying. Inspect the sites of leading IM experts
and understand what makes them sell. These people do have good lists, but also sell a large amount to site visitors. This is where you will work more
quickly by buying a comprehensive
course from a mentor. Not only will your mentor give you guidance, other students and affiliates will provide profitable advice. Your site is your shop window: the more
it attracts prospects and the longer they spend on the site, the more money they will spend. You will need an ‘About Me’ page.
Though you will probably mention your
day job, you need to identify what you can offer to IM and your prospects. (This also applies to your blog.)
You need to offer value. As a newbie,
this requires thought. Have you bought the product?
Have you used it?
You can boost your knowledge
by linking professional reviews of
the product, but do not dismiss
negative comments on the
web about your products. If necessary, sell something else rather
than have a complaint and a refund request. Your reputation will be built on the web, if you provide value. Writing is a major way to make sales,
as you are unlikely to phone most of your customers. Video is another
that we will consider in another post.
Product creators will supply you with
‘email swipes’: text to use in writing your promotional emails for the product. Banners are also available to affiliates. Free product copies may be
available to affiliates in return
for a review.
You can outsource email writing, sales
pages’ design, almost anything in IM. Another way to jump start your IM
