Recent posts looked at the careers and
similarities of 5 of the top IM experts. They started their businesses from
1998-2007. As the internet only started in 1993, they were pioneers of IM,
by today’s standards.
The changes in technology have been
very positive and have allowed a
technical ignoramus like me to operate,
mostly independently of outside help.
Whilst technology has improved, the
needs of marketing have increased.

marketing then you are definitely losing out.’ So, marketing has increased as
technical work has decreased. However, today’s marketing
allows you to sell more to each customer than selling products individually. Thus, there is an extra profit for
your marketing investment.
