Find your light! Literally.
Where is it coming from?
Be very aware of your lighting.
Lighting is everything.
Right up there with timing.
Overhead light will cast downward
unattractive shadows on
your face.
Lighting from behind will
put you in the dark.
If you’re shooting
outside, in natural light, be aware of
squinting, of too much sun.
And don’t ever shoot into the sun…with your
lens facing the sun.
You’ll be pretty much a
total shadow, and we won’t see you.
We want to see you.
We want to see your eyes.
We want to feel connected.
