This gives a sense of urgency
to the buyers to buy now to
avoid paying more later.
I received a reverse version
of this:
‘Great news, Your discount was upgraded! If you haven’t jumped on Super Product yet,
don’t wait any longer,
because for today only
they’ve upgraded your instant discount to $30 off! $30 DISCOUNT FOR MON 30th ONLY – COUPON CODE: 30off ‘ I did not buy the product
(though I love discounts!).
It seemed a little desperate
and indicated that sales were
less than planned.
If I had bought the product
before,
I would have been upset
that I had paid more,
instead of waiting.
It also sent me a signal not to
buy future products quickly,
from this seller,
as a larger discount might be
offered if I wait until later.
