A decade ago, most IM vendors
were selling individual products,
then returning to buyers
with new offers, using
separate emails.
Finding potential buyers is
expensive in money,
time or both. They need to
‘know, like, and trust’ you before
they are prepared to buy.
Starting selling with a $10 book,
for example, identifies a need to
be able to sell higher-priced
products to make better profits.
Omar Martin (see below) says that
you must build trust to sell more expensive products. Your goal is to sell high-ticket
products and services ($100+)
to earn a good income.
You need a ladder of
increasingly-more expensive
products for your buyers,
leading up to the high-ticket items. As you probably do not have such
products of your own, you need to use
other people’s products. In IM, commissions are normally
50% of the sales price,
so this is profitable.
JVZoo lists products for sale and
you can find lists of products that you can sell on behalf of the vendor, as an affiliate (agent).
Further, if the vendor has a funnel
of products, these are detailed, together with the commissions you can earn for selling each product (in sequence). So, you sell the first product by
persuading your prospects to click your affiliate link, which takes them to the sales page. When they have bought the first
product, they are offered another product and further products in sequence. This is done automatically,
but you receive commissions for every product sold. The amount of commissions for
each product is listed in JVZoo (and may vary along the funnel). Omar Martin is one of the best
sales funnel designers.
