Internet Marketing – Would you threaten your buyers?

A prospect signs up to your list.
Then, the prospect sends you a question
about your product (before, or after
buying). Of course, you answer it.
Next, a prospect asks you a question
unrelated to your products.
You answer with whatever
information you have.
Then, a prospect a sale offer.
Now, what do you do?
You can email your prospect
when you like.
Does your prospect have the
same rights?

Then, I notified those folks who email
me. Two replies:
The first:
‘UNSUB ME –
I NEVER SUBSCRIBED TO YOU :-(‘
I was wiping away the tears,
when the second gentleman
replied:
‘This IS NOT In accordance with
the FTC guidelines as
I DID NOT SIGNUP TO YOUR LIST.
YOU HAVE BEEN REPORT (sic)
FOR SPAMMING ME’
Not even a Happy Easter greeting in the
text!
A week earlier I had written to him:
‘I would like to do business with you”.
So, do you agree with him that email
contact should be only one-way,
from the person who has the list?
Is this going to motivate
potential buyers?
So, what would you find as acceptable
practice from those on your list?
What do the top IM experts do?
I believe John would not take offence.
